Demand of Textbooks in English for Students in Vietnam
To understand the demand of textbooks and documents written in English for students as well as to better serve the targeted audiences in Vietnam, Vietnam Book Drive conducted an online survey from May to September 2014. 400 students from Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine (STEM) universities across the country such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Science in Ho Chi Minh city participated in the survey.
The survey shows that the percentage of Vietnamese students who are able to read materials in English is high. More than 50% of students participated in this survey answered that they read materials in English (including textbooks, peer-reviewed journal, etc.) very frequently for studying and doing research. Remarkably, 96% of participants said that they have demand of reading materials in English in the future.
Together with Vietnam Book Drive, donate textbooks in English to alleviate the lack of access to materials in English among students in Vietnam!
