The deadline for online voting is 12:00 Pm Thursday January 5th 2012.

Here comes again our VEF annual conference. It is not only the time for our reunion but also chance to select the best representatives for our VEFFA community. Selecting right poeple will benefit in the growth of our community in general and each of you in individuals. Please take one minutes to nominate candidates for following positions:

1. Member of Board of Adviser
2. Director of Board of Executive
3. Members of Board of Executive

Timeline

• + The online nomination will be closed by the midnight of 3rd January, 2012
• + The election will be held on 4th January, 2012.
  There will be on-site question/answer and debate on the election day. The voting process will be done in two parallel procedure:
  1. - On-site voting: on the election day, 4th January, 2012
  2. - Online voting (Tentative): open on the election day and close by the 08:00 AM. on 5th January, 2012
• +The election results will be announced in the Gala dinner on 5th January, 2012

Update December 22nd 2010: This year only Mr. Kien Nguyen will step down from the Board of Adviser. Other two members of Board of Adviser, Mr. Thong Do and Mr. Anh Nguyen, will continue to serve the community. So we will vote for one candidate to fill in Mr. Kien’s space.

BOARD OF ADVISERS

The Board of Advisers (BOA) include five members of which three voting members are the Organization’s members and two non-voting members are individuals from outside of the Organization.

The term of the Board is three years. Each year, one of the voting members is replaced by a new member from the Organization. This year is the first time this rule is applied in our election.

Every three years, the Organization’s members shall vote to select the new Board including three members. The Organization’s members shall also specify the chairman of the Board. In addition, every year, the Organization members shall select one member to replace a voting member in the Board. All the voting shall be organized by the election committee.

The vice chairman is appointed by chairman.

The non-voting members is invited by the voting memebers, they will provide expert knowledges to the Board and the Board of Executives.

The Board represent the Organization in:

• + Defining specific goals for every fiscal year
• + Providing advices to the Board of Executives,
• + Monitoring progress of the Board of Executives,
• + Establish committees as needed

BOARD OF EXECUTIVES

The Board of Executives (BOE) are selected by the the VEFFA’s members via majority voting at the annual meeting. BOE are the one who implement action plan to achieve goals defined by the Board.

BOE include one Executive Director (ED) and a number of Executives from the Organization’s members.

ED is selected by the Organization’s member via majority voting at the annual meeting. ED is responsible to report to the Board about the Organization’s activities twice a year or as needed.
