Important immigration documents
|
||
If you want to cross the border to spend a day in Mexico, make sure you bring all the required immigration documents so that you can come back to the States. These include: 1) Valid passport 2) Valid I-94 3) Signed DS-2019 (or I-20). Make sure the DS-2019 is signed to authorize international traveling. The I-94 is only valid when you have the DS-2019 to validate it. 4) Visa to the States. If your visa has not expired, it's great. But even if your visa has expired, you can still go to Canada, Mexico or the Carbibean Islands and then go back to the States within 30 days. However, don't just take our words for it. Check with your visa officer before you decide to go to Mexico for detailed instructions. |
