VEF Fellow Annual Conference 2006 - Scientific Sessions

WHY?

10 reasons to participate in the scientific sessions:

  1. Have the most relaxed and joyful morning with your friends.
  2. Introduce yourself to subfield community and potential employers.
  3. Present your exciting research interests and learn from the others.
  4. Improve your communicational and presentational skills.
  5. Set an efficient collaboration with your peer fellows.
  6. Build up a strong VEF fellows community.
  7. Receive very attractive awards (not like last year).
  8. Have more chance to receive a future conference grant from VEF.
  9. Make yourself a "typical" VEF fellow.
  10. Tat ca moi nguoi lam the nen minh cung phai lam :p !!!

HOW?

This year scientific session composes of two parts:

1. Friendly Introduction:

Purpose: helping everyone within a subfield get to know each other.
Everyone who attends the session is welcome to take part. All you need to do is to submit your introduction files including:

  • your information (required)
  • your research interests (required),
  • some important results (optional),

Format: 1 page of doc file and 2-3 pages of ppt file (3-5 minutes presentation).

2. Research presentation:

You will have chance to present your research results and publications and get useful feedbacks and/or challenging questions from your peers. All you have to do is to submit an abstract of your technical paper and/or poster that you would like to present at the session to one of our subfield moderators.
